The colourful history of S/S Bore started in Sweden in 1960. During its active years, the vessel sailed on the Baltic Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, for example. Finally, Bore ended up as a teaching and museum ship in Turku (Finland), after many owners and through various twists and turns.
S/S Bore was built in Oskarshamn, Sweden, in 1960. The ship sailed on the route Turku–Mariehamn (Finland)–Stockholm. During these seventeen years, the ship, known as ‘Zero Bore’, established its place in the hearts of Turku residents.
Café Navigare is an inviting summer café on the back deck of the ship, with a view to the riverside landscape of the Aura River.
The café serves fresh pastries, savoury snacks and refreshing beverages.
Navigare’s deck areas on both sides of the ship are used as a café terrace. They are also licenced areas for serving alcoholic drinks.
Cafe Navigare open in summer 2022 as follows:

The ship has several elegant and traditional premises for holding various celebrations, meetings and banquets. Most of the restaurants are open only by prior arrangement.
Inquiries and reservations for restaurant and meeting facilities: ravintola.bore@turku.fi

Bore and its facilities are excellent for holding meetings and negotiations.
The ship has eight spaces of various sizes for events with 6–150 people.
Bore is a great combination of traditional atmosphere and modern meeting technology. Wireless internet connection is available everywhere on Bore.

Spend an unforgettable hostel night at a museum ship! Charm and atmosphere of an old cruise ship.
S/S Bore, or ‘Zero Bore’ as Turku residents know it, was completed in 1960 in Oskarshamn, Sweden. The location of Bore, now a museum ship, and the hostel operating onboard the ship is ideal – on the Aura River, in front of Forum Marinum. The guests can even walk from the harbour to the hostel.
